I had the immense pleasure and privilege of catching Miriam's recent set at Jalopy in Brooklyn and immediately snagged this lovely set of tunes. The sense of natural melodicism and overall flow of this writing is highly inspiring throughout. For stylistic reference, it's occasionally evocative of Sandy Denny's work but at other times Clouds-era Joni Mitchell and so much more. All tastefully crafted in a wholly modern way which seems uniquely hers.
